Practices (9): Fridays, 7-8 PM, May 4 / 11 / 18 / 25, June 1 / 8 / 15 / 22 / 29 (arrive 6:30-6:50 PM).

Racing: Sunday July 1, 2018 at the Canada Day regatta on Toronto's scenic Centre Island.

This is the FOURTH year for this team, formed in 2015 by Jack Leong (at Robarts Library) and supported by the Rusty Dragons. The team had great years in 2015-2017 and they look forward to building on an established crew that has fun while working hard at practices and race day. It just goes to show that anyone can participate in this sport and have fun and do well.

The coach will take you from never having sat in a dragon boat to racing on Canada Day at Toronto's Centre Island. The objective is for this to be a fun experience for everyone. The non-profit registration fee includes all practices and race day as well as the use of life jackets and paddles. Use the red button below to register now!

New in 2018: Once-a-month high-quality video review so you can see yourself from side view while paddling. This is an invaluable too to see how you are doing and in comparison to others, and is also a great tool for the coach to help individuals and the team as a whole.

Practices (9):

l Dates: May 4 / 11 / 18 / 25, June 1 / 8 / 15 / 22 (arrive 6:30-6:50 PM)..

l Location: Balmy Beach Canoe Club (see the Practice Site page).

l Equipment: Paddles and life jackets available for use at the practice site for no cost.

l Objective: Learn how to paddle a dragon boat, practice teamwork, get fitter, have FUN!

Race Day:

l Date: Saturday July 1st (Canada Day). Starts about 8:00 am and ends about 4:30 pm.

l Location: Allan A. Lamport Regatta Course on Toronto's Centre Island (Centre Island ferry).

l Objective: Experience the thrill of racing other crews and having FUN with fellow paddlers,

with family and friends cheering from shore and the grandstands!

Cost: $151. Payment options are listed below to the right.

Latest News (May 3rd): Registration is now CLOSED as the team has reached capacity. If you are looking for a team to join and didn't make it onto this team, please consider Harbord Village, Pink Crusaders, One Gorgeous Boat, or Motley Crew.

The program includes a total of 9 practices from early May to the end of June, plus entry to the Canada Day regatta on Toronto Island on Sunday July 1st. As mentioned above, the program also includes once-a-month video review sessions on the water.
