The 2010 River Run crew...
This is the 4th year for us at this scenic 27km paddle on the Grand River from Cayuga to Dunnville.
This is NOT a race!!
This special and unique event (put on by Lively Dragon) includes a pot-luck lunch stop half-way down the river with the other dragon boats. Car-pooling will be arranged to the event. Interested individuals are also encouraged to try steering the boat at some point on the river!
Two seats in the boat are used to store food and gear for the paddlers, hence the limit of 16 paddlers (plus 1 steersperson and one alternating drummer/paddler).
Afterwards, everyone is invited to Emma's Backporch in Burlington for our final dinner get together for the year!
The cost to attend this event is $30.
The boats will launch from Cayuga at 10am, and will stop for about an hour just past the mid-point for a pot-luck lunch and bonfire. We should reach Dunnville at about 4pm.
An AFTER-PADDLE dinner will also be arranged for 6pm at Emma's Backporch, where the Rusty Dragons have gone before for pool, food, and drink. The address is 2084 Lakeshore Road, Burlington. Car-pooling will be arranged.
