In the long tradition of dragon boat organizations supporting charities, one of our objectives at the RDA is to support a worthwhile charity.   We  are very pleased to identify "Club Amick" as the recipient of our support!   The primary goal of "Club Amick" is to promote literacy and the love of books among native children (kindergarten to grade 6) who live in fly-in communities throughout northern Ontario.   That's their logo at right, which you can click on to visit their official website.  You can also view their Donor Page to see our name "Rusty Dragons" listed on their website.  The names of those who have donated each year are listed below.

Our goal is to raise at least $750 this year for the charity through our events.  Even if you are not an RDA member, please consider making a donation either directly to the organization or through the RDA.   We will collect donations and make a lump sum payment at the end of the year.   We have been told by the charity organizers that each $50 in donation translates to one child receiving a new book and an activities-oriented newsletter 4 times a year for one year.

Please help us reach this goal through a donation any time this year.   For donations received through the RDA, we will publish your name on this page.  To make an online donation use the buttons at right.  Please contact us if you wish to make an online payment for another amount.

NOTE: 100% of your donation goes to Club Amick!  If you pay by PayPal, note we have added the small PayPal service charge to your payment so that we can make the donation in full (example: A $10 Club Amick donation costs $10.50 via PayPal).

To make a payment NOW, please click on the appropriate button at right where you can use your credit card or PayPal account to make a payment.

Tax Receipts will be issued by Club Amick for donations of $25 or more.

Thank you very much for your support!
