This team is an opportunity for seniors with no paddling experience of any kind to get out on the water on Ashbridges Bay and learn to paddle a dragon boat.  The intent is for this to be a leisure paddling experience and not preparing for racing.  We'll get out in our stable dragon boats and enjoy the bay and wildlife seen there.  As this team is not racing, the cost is very low for participants - at about $9 per 90-minute session.  No equipment is required as the use of life jackets and paddles is included.  You do not have to know how to swim, and the sport is very safe.

Wildlife: We paddle in the protected Ashbridges Bay where we have seen the following wildlife (up close):  beaver, muskrat, mink, raccoons, groundhogs, cormorants, Canada Day geese, pairs of swans, Mallard ducks, black-capped night herons, blue herons, egrets, hawks, seagulls, terns, large carp, etc.
Afternoon Senior Paddling
